1. How do I join WID?

Answer:

You will need to complete the membership application form and send it to the address below with the $35.00 membership fee. Checks and all major credit cards are accepted.

2. How do I renew my WID membership?

Answer:

You can renew your membership online. Just click here, login and follow the prompts.

3. Does a WID Membership give me an NDIA Membership?

Answer:

Yes - When you join WID you automatically are a member of NDIA.

4. If I join NDIA, do I automatically become a member of WID?

Answer:

No - If you join NDIA first, you have to join WID separately.

5. If I join WID in San Diego, can I transfer my membership to another chapter?

Answer:

Yes - You just need to email WID HQ Membership (TDickey@NDIA.ORG) and advise them of your change in details and which chapter you would like to transfer to. This will ensure that you get the local chapter’s emails and contact details.

6. How much does a WID membership cost?

Answer:

There is an annual fee of $35.00.

7. What does a WID Membership give me?

Answer:

As a member, you will receive:

Introduction to an impressive group of defense and national security professionals
Opportunities for networking at events with senior decision makers in defense and national security

Membership in the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA), including a subscription to the monthly magazine National Defense plus member rates at WID and NDIA events

A list of your WID peers in the Membership Directory and a WID member pin to distinguish you affiliation

A web site (http://wid.ndia.org) where you will find much useful defense-related information

Online change of address/contact information to assure you of better, faster service
Access to a defense-related, reached at www.DefenseJobs.com

8. Can I change my membership details online?

Answer:

Yes - You need to go to this LINK and login. The first time you login your details will be:

Login: Membership Number (your local chapter membership rep will be able to give you this if you don’t know it)

Password: Last Name

After logging in the site will prompt you to change your password. Then you can modify your details. It is important to keep you details up to date so that you receive all the information that both WID and NDIA distribute.
